Here is what I am doing right now (or rather want to focus on doing):
Enjoying Time with Lana

Lana, my mixed breed ca. 8 kg black haired dog, standing heroically on a beach on Malta.
I share custody over Lana with my ex-girlfriend. Lana is attending two separate dog schools. Lana and I are attending a weekly agility and IBGH1 course at ÖGV Heustadlwasser.
We are going for long walks at the New and Old Danube nearby. Occasionally, we are running together1 a few kilometers.
Working at IBM Quantum
I currently work as a Client Delivery Lead for IBM Quantum. This is my dream job and the exact position I want to be in during these interesting times in this industry.
My work is focused on realizing Quantum Advantage and showing real business value in the successfull application of Quantum Computers to real-world business problems with my clients. I work with E.ON, Boeing and Crédit Mutuel.
Doing Calisthenics (regularly)
If there’s one regret in my life it would be to not have started earlier with doing sports. Any kind of sport. I started with baseball at 10 years old, tried soccer till I was about 14 years old, moved to tennis and then started running a lot.
A heavy skiing accident hindered my ability to run and during my first semesters at university, time was scarce anyways to pursue any sport.
I picked up steam way too late again, starting to swim and lift weights. Swimming stuck, lifting weights sucked.
After many years, I have now found physical activities that I love to stick to: running, swimming and calisthenics.2 Calisthenics being my main physical activity.
Recovering from Break-up
I recently split up with my 10 year long girlfriend. It was planned and we broke up on very good terms. I don’t want to share more details here, but thanks I am fine.
Still, the break-up shook many things up. I recently moved into a new apartment near Vienna International Center in Kaisermühlen, Vienna, Austria. This is my dream apartment, living next to the few skyscrapers Austria has to offer, but still being able to dive into Danube at 8:30 and make the next meeting at 9:00 no problem.
Net net, I am currently trying to recover from the break-up and settling into my new home (there are still a lot of things to do around the apartment).
Connecting with Friends
After Covid-19, it took a while for all social circles to fully recover. I still feel I am “lagging” behind meeting my friends. A few recently got kids, a few currently have a hard time and I want to be present for them. Therefore, I am meeting with lots of friends.
Hobbies, Hobbies, Hobbies
I have a few hobbies, that I am actively pursuing:
- playing the guitar and bass
- photography
- programming
- (soon™) playing drums again
- getting more involved in private.coffee
- listening to music through my huge IEM collection
